Lowther Barn Accommodation

Legend has it that when the Scots invaded England in the Middle Ages the Lonsdales from Lowther Castle brought their women folk and children to a house where the Lowther Barn now stands.

Located on the fellside right by the popular Glenridding to Howtown walk on the East side of Ullswater the barn is in the heart of the countryside with instant access to beautiful walks, challenging mountain bike routes, and with its own private lakeshore access.

The tea room is situated on the upper floor whilst the ground floor comprises two double en suite bedrooms.

The Lowther Barn rooms are ideal for walkers who just wish to stay one or two nights in this fabulous location.

Guests have complete privacy as staff do not stay on the premises overnight.
